Water Line Replacement at Oakland and Santa Fe - CIP 5661 in CA
Description
The scope of work generally consists of, but is not limited to the installation of approximately 8,200 linear feet of 16-inch C900 PVC water main, including all required fittings, valves, valve boxes, and appurtenances necessary for a complete and operable system. Work also includes installation of water system appurtenances, including fire hydrants, blow-offs, air/vacuum release assemblies, service connections, and tie-ins to existing facilities. The Contractor shall
perform all trenching, excavation, bedding, backfill, and compaction, including import and export of materials as required, and construct thrust restraint systems, including concrete thrust blocks and/or restrained joints. All disturbed areas shall be restored, including concrete replacement, asphalt paving, aggregate base, and installation of decorative crosswalk improvements, in accordance with applicable standards. Upon completion, the Contractor shall perform all
required testing and disinfection, and place the system into service upon approval of the Engineer.
