The typical air cooled condensing unit is manufactured by Bryant (model 569DPX090000A--, 8.5-ton, R-22, built 07/2004) providing cooling to the common areas of the building. Wings A, B, C, and D are served by two gas-fired furnaces with DX-coils each, matched to air cooled condensing units, manufactured by Bryant (model 597CNX048 and 597CNX042-G, R-22, 4-ton and 3.5-ton, built 07/2004) providing cooling to dormitory rooms.
- Replace units with new 12.5 SEER packaged units utilizing non-R22 refrigerants (e.g., R-410A or R-454B). The scope includes installing while reusing the existing electrical disconnects, ductwork, and thermostat wiring.
