Main Building 1 Wing 5 – Six Rooftop HVAC Unit Replacement – Glenmont Job Corps Center

Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking qualified contractors for the replacement and installation of HVAC equipment serving Main Building No. 1 – Wing 5 (Education Building), Glenmont, NY. The project includes replacement of two existing 7.5-ton split-system HVAC units serving the Auditorium, one 6-ton rooftop HVAC unit serving the Library and Computer Lab, and one 12.5-ton rooftop HVAC unit serving the North and East Wing Classrooms. Two existing 5-ton rooftop units will be abandoned in place. The project also includes installation of four new 2-ton ductless mini-split heat pump systems serving designated classrooms and removal of the existing Bard window air-conditioning unit serving the Computer Lab.

Associated work includes demolition, roof curbs and penetrations, ductwork, refrigerant and condensate piping, electrical work, controls, structural roof evaluation, fire alarm/duct smoke detector work, testing, balancing, startup, commissioning, warranties, and related work necessary to provide complete and operational HVAC systems.

The Center will remain operational during construction. Contractors must be appropriately licensed to perform the required work in New York State and comply with applicable codes, safety requirements, environmental requirements, and the project Scope of Work.

A pre-proposal site walkthrough is scheduled for September 10, 2026. Vendor questions are due September 14, 2026. Proposals are due September 21, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET. The period of performance is 210 calendar days following written Notice to Proceed (NTP).
