K-9 Services

The Contractor shall provide certified K-9 detection services to support the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center's safety and security. Services include
random, unannounced inspections of the center's 78 buildings, 500-acre campus, vehicles, lockers, classrooms, offices, dormitories, and other designated areas. Certified K-9 handlers will conduct inspections and determine canine alerts for prohibited substances, contraband, and unauthorized items.
When authorized, the Contractor will assist with investigations, confiscate suspected contraband, properly bag and tag evidence, conduct presumptive field testing when appropriate, and transfer all evidence to the Center's authorized representative. Any suspected substances will remain unconfirmed until verified in accordance with the Center's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH). After each inspection, the Contractor will provide a written report summarizing canine alerts, findings, and confiscated items. All services must comply with applicable laws, industry standards, and the Center's policies to help maintain a safe, secure, and drug-free environment.
