Dorm Hot Water Tank Replacement – Glenmont Job Corps Center – S26-006
Description
Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking qualified mechanical and plumbing contractors for the replacement of domestic hot water storage tanks and associated equipment serving the North and South Dormitories at 822 River Road, Glenmont, NY.
The project includes removal and disposal of four existing approximately 505-gallon domestic hot water storage tanks and installation of four new 500-gallon insulated storage tanks, two per dormitory. The project also includes replacement of four heat exchangers, two per dormitory, and installation of one new bronze Bell & Gossett circulator pump in the North Dormitory.
Associated work includes piping modifications, fittings, valves, electrical disconnections and reconnections, insulation, rigging, material handling, equipment removal and disposal, temporary domestic hot water arrangements, secured Connex storage, system testing, startup, commissioning, and applicable warranties.
The Center will remain operational during construction. Contractors must comply with applicable New York State requirements, safety and security procedures, insurance requirements, Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, and the project Scope of Work.
A pre-proposal site walkthrough is scheduled for October 29, 2026. Proposals are due November 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM ET .The estimated on-site construction duration is approximately 2½ to 3 weeks, subject to equipment availability and scheduling.
This is a subcontracting opportunity with Adams and Associates, Inc., not a direct federal government procurement.
