Description
The intent of this project is to correct non-compliant door swing and clearance conditions at 4 electrical rooms by:
Ensuring the door swings in the direction of egress travel
Preventing door leaf encroachment into required corridor egress width
Maintaining required electrical working clearances
Providing compliant panic hardware for emergency egress
Existing Conditions:
The electrical rooms contain energized electrical equipment subject to NEC working space requirements.
The existing door and/or frame configuration do not meet current life safety and electrical code requirements.
The building is actively occupied by Job Corps staff and students during normal operating hours.
