Event description

Financial statements shouldn’t just be something you look at when it’s time to file taxes or apply for a loan. Your balance sheet and profit & loss statement can tell you a lot about the health of your business—and help you make better decisions about what comes next.

In this interactive workshop, Vicente Giordanelli with CIFI will break down these two core financial statements in plain language. You’ll learn how to read them, understand what the numbers are telling you, and use that information to make more informed business decisions. The session will use practical examples relevant to small businesses and leave plenty of time for questions.

Topics will include:

  • The purpose of a balance sheet and profit & loss statement
  • How to read and understand the major sections of each
  • What your numbers can tell you about the financial health of your business
  • How to use financial statements to guide business decisions
  • How lenders may look at your financials when evaluating financing

Who should attend: Small business owners and managers who want to better understand their financial statements. You don’t need a finance or accounting background to participate.
