SBA Event-Path to Prime, Wes Smith, VMA - New Program for Manufacturing

The country is trying to bring critical supply chains home. That work runs through small manufacturers, and primes can only buy from firms that clear the compliance and capability bar. Most shops have never had a practical way to get there.

SBA funded the Virginia Manufacturers Association and its workforce affiliate, the Manufacturing Skills Institute, to run Path to Prime and close that gap: courses, hands-on training, and one-on-one consulting on operations, compliance, workforce, and federal contracting. All of it at no cost to eligible firms.

The point is to put more American manufacturers in a position to win the work.
