Event description
The Small Business Compliance Toolbox series offers practical tools and essential knowledge to help your business stay compliant, reduce risk, and build a stronger, more successful workplace. The program will share compliance resources such as guides, digital tools, and other free resources.
Facilitated by subject matter experts from the U.S. Dept. of Labor, this webinar reviews OSHA National Emphasis Program on Falls and describes policies and procedures to identify and to reduce hazards which are causing or likely to cause serious injuries and fatalities from falls while working at heights. Available DOL Compliance Assistance resources will also be reviewed including OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program (confidential occupational safety and health services to small- and medium-sized businesses, with priority given to high-hazard worksites). On-Site Consultation services are separate from enforcement and do not result in penalties or citations. The Wage & Hour Division (WHD) will also review hours worked, overtime requirements, and common issues involving subcontractors and independent contractors under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
- Participants can ask questions using chat with a real time response
- Webinar sessions are not recorded, and handouts are provided for attendees
