Event description
- Cash flow strategy: Why cash flow matters beyond “money in the bank,” how to avoid being profitable-but-cash-poor, and how to think strategically about buffers, payables/receivables, and timing
- Borrowing decisions + repayment planning: How to determine whether borrowing makes sense, common reasons to borrow, and the importance of having a solid repayment plan (including understanding timing and fees)
- How lenders evaluate you: The lender’s point of view—what signals repayment ability—such as time in business, profitability/cash flow, seasonality, credit history, expansion/equipment plans, and personal finances
- What financial information matters most: The key documents lenders expect (tax returns, balance sheet, P&L) and the types of metrics they use to assess financial health (e.g., leverage ratio/current ratio; sales growth, margins, SG&A-to-sales, EBITDA)
- Credit options available to you: How business credit cards, lines of credit, and term loans differ (plus other sources like SBA loans, CDFIs, venture capital, and local grants) so you can choose the best fit for your needs
