This course is designed strictly for aspiring entrepreneurs that are in the pre-venture stage.

Gain a clear understanding of business building fundamentals and emerge from this class with a solid blueprint firmly in hand. Turn your business idea into a well thought-out road map for your venture. This 8-session course is taught virtually by industry experts in a dynamic peer-to-peer environment and is supported by online tools and decision worksheets to guide you every step of the way.

Class Participation Requirements

To participate you must meet the following requirements:

  • Camera On: You must attend each class with your camera on and your face clearly visible for the entire session.
  • Appropriate Environment: You may not attend class while driving, cooking, shopping, or engaging in other activities that distract from your participation. Please join from a quiet, safe location where you can fully engage.
  • Attendance: You are allowed one absence only during the course.
  • Punctuality: You are allowed to be up to 30 minutes late one time only. If you arrive more than 40 minutes late, you will not be admitted to class.
  • Technology Requirement: This class uses LivePlan software. You must have access to a computer or tablet to fully participate. A smartphone alone is not sufficient.

Eligible BCC graduates who complete the course and furnish a completed business plan are invited to apply for the WBDC Launch Pad Grant*. This offers newly established businesses the opportunity to receive a $2,500 grant for start-up costs.​ Applicants must complete an application and participate in a pitch competition.
