Event description
This hearing focuses on inland barge and towboat building, repair yards, steel fabrication, and river terminals on the Ohio River.
The SBA’s Office of the National Ombudsman, under Robert Bolen, empowers small entities by addressing concerns of uneven and excessive federal regulatory enforcement.
This session is part of a nationwide initiative to amplify the voices of small businesses and members of the government contracting community to revise the regulatory landscape. We value your input and collaboration in crafting meaningful solutions to regulatory challenges facing this industry.
During this meeting we would like to hear about your experiences with federal navigation and dredging rules, as well as vessel inspection on small towboats.
Our goal is to understand the pain points and the economic impact regulations have on your operations, and we welcome you to attend to share your candid, real-world experiences with SBA leadership as well as our other Federal partners in attendance.
Please note: this hearing is closed to the press.
