Event description
Applications are now open for the Finger Lakes Procurement Initiative, an eight-week program designed for small business owners and startup founders in Genesee County and western Monroe County.
The program will help you understand how larger companies and institutions purchase products and services—and what your business needs to be ready to work with them.
Through practical workshops, expert guidance and hands-on activities, you will learn how to:
- Find new business opportunities
- Present your company professionally
- Create a strong capabilities statement
- Understand requests for proposals and scopes of work
- Develop pricing and negotiation strategies
- Complete supplier registrations and purchasing portals
The program runs from September 16 through November 4, 2026, at the Genesee County Economic Development Center in Batavia.
Participation is limited to 10–15 businesses, and the program fee is $40 per business.
